All I can say is that it doesn’t just look good, it tastes good. I think I might have to go back for the duck confit.
A new restaurant called l’auberge casino hotel baton rouge has opened in Paris and it’s really good. What I like the most is that it is the first restaurant in the world to offer a wine list by the glass. I guess I just don’t get much wine.
I just wish it was more interesting than bistrot d’amis. What’s the problem with bistro d’amis? They’re always a little too cheesy and not always very romantic. To each their own.
I’m not here to complain about bistro damis, I just like the fact that they’ve put a glass-cased wine list on their website. I’m sure most people here are of the mind that wine is a good and healthy drink, but as a regular consumer, I usually have trouble finding the right glass for my wine. That glass is a glass. A certain part of my brain doesn’t appreciate it.
Im not saying that they should abandon their old-school wine list, I just think that bistro damis has been overdone a bit and needs a bit of trimming. As for the glass-cased wine list, I think that is what all the other places do. It looks like a lot of the wine is served in individual glass bottles, which is kinda weird.
